Much like the clothes that we choose to wear, the choices we make with interior design can say a lot about our tastes, personalities, and lifestyles. It follows, then, that the ways in which people choose to decorate their homes are something that others can get pretty judgmental about. After all, a home should be a sanctuary for those who live in it. When its interiors are kind of wack, that suggests that it is anything but.

It isn't a crime to not be overly interested in what your home looks like, but it is to be expected that many of those who get a glimpse of the inside might not be as at peace with it as the occupants. Sometimes, the ways in which other people live can come as a shock, especially if it deviates from what is considered to be normal. You never know what you might find behind the average front door.

  • This seemed to be the reaction to one woman's apartment, when she took to the internet to complain about attending a baby shower and being forced to take one of the decorations home to her extremely minimalist setup. She didn't know what to do with the pumpkin that sat on her kitchen counter.

    Viewers felt like the vegetable was the least strange part of the interior, which many claimed went beyond minimalism and into something else. It is fair to say that the arrangement did not look like it was the most comfortable or lived in, and was not going to be to most peoples' taste.
